The second meeting of a wellness coalition took place in January 2014 at the Ringgold County Hospital. The hot topic was how to organize a 5k run/walk event that will take place in Mount Ayr on April 12th. Mount Ayr will be one of 14 communities statewide to host this Live Healthy Iowa 5k event. Portions of the proceeds from the event will go back to the Ringgold County Wellness Coalition. Anyone interested in serving on the coalition is encouraged to contact Ringgold County Public Health at 464-0691.
