The Mental Health Service Line of VA Central Iowa Health Care System offers comprehensive services to eligible veterans in the Des Moines, Knoxville, Mason City, Ft. Dodge, Marshalltown and Carroll clinics.
Services are delivered by licensed health care professionals including Psychiatrists, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners, Psychologists, Social Workers, RNs, Vocational Rehabilitation Specialists, Peer Support Specialists as well as other allied health care professionals. Services include inpatient, MHRRTP (Domiciliary) and outpatient.
Veterans are able to access outpatient and residential services either directly or via referral. Specialty programs and services are generally accessed by referral. Referral sources are generally VA and other healthcare professionals and organizations. Each veteran is welcomed and will be respectfully offered individualized services that meet their unique needs.
