Youth Masterpieces on Display in Courthouse

It has been said a child’s artwork is pure and unfiltered by any preconceived notions of what beauty is or is not. Mount Ayr Elementary Art teacher Jane Uhlenkamp has helped foster this unbridled creativity in her students and then displays their work in a public place for all to enjoy. The latest round of young artists’ work has been placed along the staircase at the Ringgold County Courthouse for public viewing. To view the entire display, a person needs to travel all three flights of stairs. The idea came as a partnership between the school and Ringgold County Public Health (RCPH) to promote physical activity and highlight young artists right here in our county. The artwork is changed on a regular basis so man new young artists can be recognized.
