Ringgold County Parents as Teachers invites you and your child to a free BLOCK Fest event on Tuesday, May 8, at 5:30 PM at the Mt. Ayr Elementary School gym. The event will be facilitated by a trained BLOCK Fest host from Southwestern Community College’s Early Childhood Education Department.
BLOCK Fest is a family interactive event that uses five block play stations to introduce children and their parents to the educational value of blocks. The exhibit has been shown to increase parent knowledge of early development in the areas of math and science education while providing opportunities to increase social skills and literacy opportunities for young children.
